Spider Tattoo and Meaning/Symbol

Spider Tattoo meaning – altough spiders are scary (for some people), just like scorpions, they mean the following: good luck, patience (mostly because of their hunting skills), mischief (mostly because of their “deadly” bites), people that are capable of creating their own worlds (just like the spiders create their own), magic, protection, connections. A spider tattoo can also mean you’ve been in prison. Altough not in this list, spider tattoos are also considered old school tattoos for some people (mostly because people used to get spider tattoos for a very long time). Do you need some spider tattoo pictures for your next tattoo?

Other old school tattoos: dagger tattoos, sword tattoos, scorpion tattoos + much more.

Celebrities with spider/spider web tattoos – Perrie Edwards (the girlfriend of one of the guys from One Direction – Zayn Malik has a tiger tattoo too), Tim Armstrong (the musician – he has a spider web tattoo on his hand), Pauley Perrette (she has a spider web tattoo on her neck, but only applied for the show), Louis Tomlinson (from One Direction, he has a new spider web tattoo). Maybe there are more celebrities with spider/spider web tattoo, but I don’t know about them. If you want to share more names/ideas, feel free to do it. Here are more spider tattoo pictures:

Interesting facts – the Goniurellia fly has 2 spider “tattoos” on her wings. You can read all about it here (on this blog). You can read more about the spider web tattoos and the spide around here.

Spider Mythology – Only in the Greco-Roman mythology we find out about Arachne and Athena. After Arachne dies, Athena want to give her life again, but because of a potion she is turned into a spider. Most important, the term/word Arachnid (lots of spiders in this class) is derived from her name – Arachne. Want more spider tattoos/pictures?
